The exhibition will be on view in Sotheby’s New Bond Street galleries from 7–15 May 2025 (free and open to all).
Art For Your Oceans will be the first time an exhibition has been created with artists commissioned to use seaweed ink. OCEAN INK® is the world's first sustainable and fully biodegradable water-based ink, produced in the OCEANIUM laboratories in Scotland from sustainably farmed seaweed. This globally important project will shine a light on the potential of seaweed as an invaluable tool in the fight against climate change.
The commissioned artists are: Max Boyla, Andrew Cranston, Laura Footes, Laura Ford, Anya Gallaccio, Antony Gormley, Nick Goss, Mona Hatoum, Lubaina Himid, Katie Kaur, Harland Miller, Beatriz Morales, Daisy Parris, Emma Stibbon, Emma Talbot, Caragh Thuring and also including the display of unique garments by Stella McCartney.
*AFYO is the most recent project under the umbrella of Art For Your World: a platform devised by Artwise Curators for WWF to bring together leading international artists to raise funds for WWF conservation projects and awareness around the environmental issues we are facing.
