I’m writing to introduce you to to the music of Welsh composer, producer and performer Sion Trefor. Amongst other productions, Sion scored several episodes of the Netflix series “Freud” for you, and is currently contributing to a major upcoming Apple TV series. Sion Trefor is the foremost composer for visuals in Wales. A unique creative presence, his scores elevate every visual into integrated works of art with deep emotional resonance. His growing roster of clients includes, among many others, Netflix, the British Film Institute and the BBC.
A professional concert pianist, virtuoso violinist and percussionist-turned composer for visuals as well as prolific record producer, Sion is a unique creative force. His ability to identify the emotional core of any visual production, at whatever stage of production, results in dazzlingly captivating music.
Sion will release his debut solo album in May 2022, and his alternative / electronic rock outfit Future Kult release their debut in February 2022.
Sion is founder of The Born Rare Collective, a select cross-section of distinctive voices working in the creative industries. He is also co-founder of Action Wolf Records.
